What a night! GJWHF!9 gala a major success

It’s hard to describe our winter event – the goal is to raise funds for MumNet, but really, it’s so much more! It is our only “all-network” gathering each year and it truly symbolizes “MumNet”. It’s a collaboration of wonderful volunteers, generous community donors, lots of time and energy, many laughs, and oh yes ...food, drinks and money ... and it all comes together to make for such a great evening out!

The arrival of 2 groups this year in limousines really set the tone!

This year's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!9 was an introduction to our 21st year! We’ve entered our third decade!

Of course, the success of the evening is dependent on those of you who participated, in attending the event, buying and selling raffle tickets, and securing donations for the auction. Thanks to all fundraising reps for coordinating this!

While financial results are not final at this point, many women were seen leaving with bags in hand and smiles on their faces, so there is no doubt the evening was a successful one!

Why do we fundraise?

Each year, costs associated with operating our organization continue to rise. These costs include group expenses (payments to childcare workers and fitness instructors, supplies, rent at churches, etc.) and central expenses (insurance premiums, office administration, salaries, etc.).

We also offer subsidies to women in need so that our programs are available to all women regardless of financial situation.

Challenged by these ever-increasing costs associated with operating our organization, fundraising has enabled us to keep our fees low and to keep our groups accessible to as many moms as possible.

All proceeds from our fundraising go directly to support our program and operation costs.
