We are now well in to our spring term of MumNet – groups have been meeting for over 5 weeks, new friendships have been made, and everyone has settled in to a great weekly routine!
At this time of year, we run our Spring fundraising campaign. Fundraising for MumNet helps to keep fees low so our groups are accessible to everyone. In the spring, we challenge each group to come up with their own fundraiser with a goal of $30 raised per member.
This year, the Manor Road MumVet group is having an online fundraiser and all groups are invited to participate.
Sessabel has been a part of Manor Road MumVet’s spring fundraiser for 4 years. Dawn Canning runs her online business selling natural personal care and litterless lunch products. She carries popular brands Original Sprout, S’well, and Consonant as well as local boutique lines like Province Apothecary and Cocoon Apothecary. www.sessabel.com
Binksy & Bobo has been a part of Manor Road MumVet’s spring fundraiser for 3 years. Katrina Poole makes beautiful, high-quality and functional clothing for children. You mayhave seen her goods at the gala silent auction or at the One of a Kind show. www.binksyandbobo.com
With both of these vendors, all sales from MumNet will result in 25% back to MumNet. Just add your group name in the comments section at checkout.
Another fundraising hit was the Runnymede MumNet groups’s annual Wine Tasting evening. This year, they had a volunteer Sommelier come to the party and lead the group through a detailed wine tasting. They also held a raffle with donated prizes. Members, both current and alumnae, paid $30 to attend and had a great evening catching up with friends, tasting wine and giving back to MumNet!
