Let’s Talk: Walking the tightrope of managing stress & anxiety to achieve a balanced life
As mums, we’ve all experienced stress and/or anxiety at some point in our parenting journey. Whether it’s because we’ve felt it ourselves, supported a partner through a challenging time or comforted an anxious child. Most of us know that stress and even anxiety can be a good thing – but how do we recognize if it’s getting out of control?
During this one hour talk, clinical psychotherapist Ursula Doran will help us understand the nuts and bolts of stress and anxiety, and will share strategies and skills to cope with both using basic cognitive behavioural therapy techniques and mindfulness strategies. She will also share her approach to living a balanced life, while juggling work, kids and family.
Where: 3030. 3030 Dundas Street West, Toronto. See map
When: Tuesday March 1st. Doors open for drinks and snacks at 7:30pm. The talk starts at 8pm followed by much-needed social time with the ladies.
Cost & RSVP: $25 (includes a few tasty bites!) – purchase tickets at the door!

Hi Nermin, It’s not my event, but I am a member of Mumnet, and I’m sure it’s open to all and we’d love it if you could make it.
Thanks so much for replying. I have contacted Nermin directly by email with information about the event.
