Lesley Stoyan

Fitness, Food and Lifestyle lesley-stoyan (150x150)Educator; Whole Foods Chef; Community Activist

Lesley Stoyan loves fitness. From hitting the trails running to teaching signature performance programs, Lesley is passionate about the transformative power of exercise, and the role it plays in people’s health and wellbeing. Fitness also brings people together, and for over two decades, Lesley has devoted her career to teaching people of all ages how to build strong, healthy fitness communities.

After beginning her career managing corporate wellness facilities and coaching high performance youth athletes, Lesley decided to go out on her own and in 2006 founded Daily Apple, a food and lifestyle education group with a reputation for making health a little more palatable. With her training as culinary nutritionist, Lesley is a popular public speaker, regularly hosting her “Fresh Living” workshops and events throughout the GTA, designed to attract clients to a more “planet-friendly lifestyle.”

Lesley, together with her husband, Chris Trussell, and their young son Luke, is also the founder of The AppleTree Group, a registered non-profit organization that strives to build community in midtown Toronto through sustainable food-based initiatives and family-friendly events.

After the birth of her son, Lesley’s fitness focus was devoted to better post-natal care, and improving the quality of programs available for new mothers needing support, efficiency, results…and most importantly a few laughs! She is thrilled to be joining the MumNet team, and as a past MumNet member, is excited to be working with this dynamic group of women.
